Mother: Yes, thank you. | Ìyá: Bẹ́ẹ̀ni, mo dúpẹ́. |
Father: Where are the children? | Bàbá: Àwọn ọmọ ńkọ́? |
Mother: They are playing in the garden at the backyard | Ìyá: Wọ́n ń ṣe eré ní inú ọ̀gbà ní èyìnkùlé. |
Father: It is alright, I will see them when they get back inside. | Bàbá: Ó dára, mà á rí wọn tí wọ́n bá padà wọ ilé. |
Mother: It is okay then. | Ìyá: Kò burú. |
Note: Close persons or agemates sometimes use Ẹ in greeetings to show respect to eachother. | Kíyèsí: Ní ìgbà míràn, àwọn ènìyàn tí wọ́n súnmọ́ ara wọn tàbí àwọn tí wọ́n jẹ́ ẹlẹgbẹ́ ara wọn lè lo Ẹ ní inú ìkíni láti fi bọ̀wọ̀ fún ara wọn. |
