Telling time: the 24-hour time	Sísọ àkókò wákàtí mẹ́rìnlélógún
Remember that there are 24 hours in a day.	Ṣe ìrántí wípé wákàtí mẹ́rìnlélógún (24) ni ó wà ní inú ọjọ́ kan.
The 24-hour time counts all the 24 hours in a day consecutively from the first (1st) hour to the twenty-fourth (24th) hour.	Àkókò wákàtí mẹ́rìnlélógún máa ń ka gbogbo wákàtí mẹ́rìnlélógún (24) tí ó wà ní inú ọjọ́ léraléra láti wákàtí kìn-ní-ní (1) títí dé wákàtí kẹrìnlélógún (24).
In the 24-hour time, the day starts at 00:00hour (midnight) and ends at 23:59hours.	Wákàtí oódo-oódo (00:00) agbede méjì òru ni ọjọ́ máa ń bẹ̀rẹ̀ ní inú àkókò wákàtí mẹ́rìnlélógún, á sì pin ní agogo mẹ́rìnlélógún ku ìṣẹ́jú kan (23:59).

For example, we can read the time on the images of the clocks below in two ways:	Fún àpẹrẹ, a lè ka àkókò tí àwọn àwòrán agogo tí ó wà ni ìsàlè yìí ń tọ́ka sí ní ọ̀nà méjì:
1. We may say the time is 01:00hour if the period of the day is after midnight.	1. A lè sọ wípé agogo kan (01:00hour) òru ni ó lù tí àkókò ọjọ́ bá jẹ́ lẹ́yìn agbede méjì òru.
2. We may also say the time is 13:00hours if the period of the day falls in the afternoon.	2. A tún lè sọ wípé agogo mẹ́tàlá (13:00hour) ni ó lù tí àkókò ọjọ́ bá bọ́ sí ọ̀sán.
